The Filipino American Association of Certified Public
Accountants (FAACPA) was initially conceived by a
group of Filipino Americans who have attained the CPA
designation in the State of Washington and in the
Philippines. Current membership is open to
professionals and students in an accounting or related
field.
FAACPA’s activities consist of:
- Providing seminars and workshops for professional
development to members
- Offering annual scholarship to members and students
preparing for the CPA exams
- Offering CPA review scholarship in partnership with
Becker Professional Review or Becker CPA Review and
Rigos CPA Review School
- Assisting low-income and non-English speaking taxpayers
in the preparation of income tax under the IRS VITA
program
- Providing free tax and accounting services to the Filipino
Community of Seattle and other local organizations.
- Holding annual Christmas party and summer picnic for
members and their families
- Participating in various Seattle civic and community affairs
and activities.
- FAACPA is a founding member of the National Council of
Philippine-American Canadian Accountants.
